Ffynnon Fair (Trefnant) submitted by coin on 22nd Apr 2014. Detail plan of the well basin.
"The site lies in a meadow about 100 yards north of the River Elwy at the foot of a steep woodland slope half a mile west of the A.525 road from Denbigh to St. Asaph and three miles from the latter. Hengwm Ring Cairn
Date Added: 26th Sep 2014
Site Type: Ring Cairn
Country: Wales (Gwynedd)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 5 Access 2

Hengwm Ring Cairn submitted by TimPrevett on 18th Sep 2007. This is a delight not to be missed. If you visit the tombs at Carneddau Hengwm, this is just a few minutes walk away. Take it in, or you'll be kicking yourself. A small ring cairn, with outward leaning stones, and an internal ring recognisable in most of the monument. It appears also to be sited so as to give an impression of being on a ridge. Comparisons with Bryn Cader Faner, which is to the north on another good long, walk, are easy to make.

Cors y Gedol
Date Added: 26th Sep 2014
Site Type: Chambered Tomb
Country: Wales (Gwynedd)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 3 Access 4
Cors y Gedol submitted by TimPrevett on 24th Sep 2005. This was our last stop of the day, so lighting conditions were deteriorating rapidly. The best way I could get something out of this composite shot was to use a sepia filter. The collapsed chamber here (as so many in the area) is obvious. Fine views out to sea, and up into the mountains.
