Dupath Well submitted by KiwiBetsy on 11th Dec 2004. As you enter the chapel through the heavy wooden door, there before you built into the floor below the windows is a pool of crystal clear water which flows out under the eastern wall into a granite trough.
The chapel was built by the monks of St Germans in 1570 but the well was revered as a pre Christian shrine and has long held the reputation for curing whooping cough.

This entrance grave on St. Mary's comprises a 26' diameter mound and an 18' long entrance passage roofed with 5 large capstones.

Samson, South Hill submitted by Thorgrim on 2nd Jul 2003. The now uninhabited island of Samson contains dozens of entrance graves and cairns. This entrance grave is the finest and it overlooks the flats where stone walls are uncovered at low tide. The Scilly Islands were just one island in Roman times (with the exception of Agnes and Annet. The drowned land has often been seen as the Lost Land of Lyonesse.

Ness of Burgi submitted by PAB on 22nd Oct 2006. The Fort on the Ness of Burgi, looking west from the coastline. This Fort faces across the bay to Jarsloff and the ramparts of Tonga Fort.
The Royal Commission for Ancient & Historical Monuments in Scotland (RCAHMS) describes the Fort as: "A gatehouse fort, probably datable to about 100 BC, isolated by a rampart, with a ditch on either side, cutting across the neck of the peninsula on which it stands."
It notes that the site was excavated in 1935, and again in 1983 when 'a single cutt...
