All of the mighty old stones are deeply embedded into the ground.
K. Michaelsen, a local museum director, made some sketches in the fifties
that show circular alignments, he saw some proof that the
stone formation is man-made.

Hubertuskapelle
Date Added: 22nd Jun 2020
Site Type: Cave or Rock Shelter
Country: Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen)
Visited: Would like to visit
Hubertuskapelle submitted by Creative Commons on 23rd Mar 2018. The Hubertuskapelle is a cave room used as a chapel in Bockenem (Lower Saxony/Germany).
It can be accessed through a tunnel. The current appearence and the rock relief stem from 1727. The tunnel with its niche as well as the grotto can not be specified. Legend has it that once this was a Pre-Christian sanctuary. However, there is no evidence to date.
