It also shows not much in the way of horizon notches etc, so strengthening my theory (hopefully) that the important thing is the shadow behind you, not the orb.

This stone is in a field just off the Fionnphort road. It is aligned N-S, and has no markings or carvings, and stands just over 2m tall. Magnificent views all around!

Acholter submitted by Anne T on 9th Oct 2017. This was about as close as we could get to this standing stone (about 8-10 metres). The field was absolutely sodden in water and the cow pats were ankle deep. We cut our losses and took photographs as best we could through the thickening mist.
