Log Text: It has taken me a lot of days searching the area to find it. It s well hidden in the area of Sauteranne and locals dont seem to either know about it or give you any clues where it is.

Log Text: The pierres plates (because there are two) are found in the town centre, on both sides of the road near the fountain leading to the church. Precisely in the route from Mauriac to Montclard.
"La pierre plate" consists then in a cap stone 2m by 0.90. On the other side of the road we find a small cap stone of bearly 1m long by 0.60 but this small one is broken and has been repared by a blacksmith.

Log Text: Easy to find, taking the road D88 from St Estephe to Fixard, the Menhir is in a little wood near the road pass the junction to Fixard and before the junction with the D92, following the walking path marked on the right of the road and indicated with a typical wooden pole capped with a yellow hat.

Log Text: This granite stone is found near le centre INRA de Cruel, by the roundabout Avenue du Brèzet and le Chemin de Beaulieu. Park before the roundabout and take a walk through an old unused road to the field where the stone is situated.
This menhir is also called le Brezet and Ste Anne or pierre longue de Beaulieu.
Menhir (cad. H 931 ; 2003 CP 65 ; CP 47) : classement par arrêté du 17 janvier 1924.

the menhir has been crowned with a cross, on one side there is a carving of Christ crucified and on he other side a figure which appears to be a madonna.

Log Text: Menhir couché du Puy de la Poix between Aulnat and Clermont Ferrand. The menhir is laying flat near the top of the little knoll, an ancient volcano from the Oligocene period, there is a ravine of stinky bitumen at the bottom of the knoll, hence the name "la Poix”

There are two menhirs one step away from the other, one couché (laying down, gray stone) the other standing (granite stone). The pond is 10 metres away.
