Vedsted Langdysse 1 submitted by holger_rix on 30th Jul 2010. A mighty Long Barrow, 115 m long of NE-SW direction, 8-12 m wide.
Earth mound from 1.50 to 2.00 m high.
15 m from NE-end a hole of 6 m diameter.
9 m from this a similar hole, equal to the mound bottom; herein seen
two large, significant land covered stones from a destroyed chamber.
14 m, 20 m and 32 m from barrows SW-End seen similar holes of robbed
chambers. (Distances are measured to the centers of the holes).

It was build side by side with the even longer 115 m 'Vedsted Langdysse 1'.
Earth mound from 1.50 to 2.00 m high, somewhat disturbed by excavations.
10 m from barrows SW-end a hole straight to the hill bottom, about 7-8 m wide.
Herein seen a bursted stone, most likely one of a chambers orthostats.
22 m from SW-end a similar hole with opening towards N.
34 m from NE-end a third hole.

Vedsted Jættestue 1 submitted by holger_rix on 31st Jul 2010. Remains of a kerbed Round Barrow 1.2 x 16.0 m.
Excavated and restored 1968, a stone chamber with passage.
The hill is surrounded by a rim stone chain,
which is only interrupted in the W side of the hill.
In the south side a visible chamber oriented NS, set of three pairs side stones
and three capstones in continuation of the passage consisting of eight orthostats
of which two are shared with the chamber, and another capstone.
The height of the chamber is about 1 m.

15 meters diameter. 22 kerb stones in place. Some have been removed,
but have been replaced.
In the middle was a large chamber, which is now quite covered with earth.

Earth mound from 1.75 to 2.25 m high.
Midst of this a hole, the chamber has been robbed.
Of chambers seen a side stone towards W, 1.50 m x 0.50 m, partial
covered with soil, and a burst stump. 6 kerb stones, partly bursted,
at the west side, 4 against south, 2 against north.

Top flat, slightly sloping towards NE.
Inside the barrow, the northern half of a burial chamber.
The chamber has been restored in a questionable way several years before 1927.
(danish text: 'en ret daarlig' = 'rather poor')
A modern passage is leading into the tomb from east, the original
passage is missing.
In the chamber the seven northern upright stones are original,
two stones against west, three against north, ...

Mound 1 to 1.25 m high; somewhat disturbed by excavations
and holes at the foot from kerb stones taken away.
Roughly in the middle of the earth mound is an excavated chamber
without capstone(s), with a length direction E-W.
Chamber now totally hidden by the earth mound which lies
above the carrier surface of the stones edges.

Over Jerstal Jættestue 1 submitted by holger_rix on 28th Jul 2010. Round Barrow, 3 m x 17 m. From the east side leads an 8 m long passage (uncovered in 1931) into a chamber.
The chamber is 3 m in E-W, 1.50 m br., 1.40 to 1.60 m high.
Chamber is set by six carrying stones, two in the south side,
one in the west end, the north side two long stone, which the west has shifted somewhat and pushed a portion inward, especially at the top.
The entrance from S-E is 0.60 m wide.
Some of the intervals between carrier stones are filled with small stones.

suitable only for 1 year olds and dwarfs.
Round Barrow, 1.75 m - 2,20 m tall, 17-18 m diameter, shape is somewhat
vague and not easy to determine. Top flattened and the surface uneven.
Mound encloses a stone grave, from east a 5.60 m long passage.
