Ueffeln Huegelgrab 2 submitted by XIII on 26th Jul 2015. Quite hard to spot even if you know it's there. If not for the information sign planted right next to it, I would have missed it. From the Wiemelberger Steine go about 10m north through the woods to find it. There is no path leading to it.

Ueffeln Huegelgrab 3 submitted by XIII on 26th Jul 2015. Easy to miss. First time I walked from the road to the Wiemelsberger Steine, I completely missed it even though its just a few metres from the path. I knew it was there so I was looking for it on the way back to the road. Only then I noticed the information sign showing where it is.

Site Type: Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature
Country: Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen)
Visited: Yes on 26th Jul 2015. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 3 Access 5
Matthiesings Opferstein submitted by AlexHunger on 13th Apr 2007. Sacrifice stone in use since about 2000 BCE.
According to legend, the devil tried to throw this rock at the local church. Just as he did this, the neighbouring farmer's cock crowed, breaking the devil's concentration.
The stone then turned around it's axis.
Fittingly accross the road from a cemetary.

The easternmost capstone of the 10-capstone passage grave with oval enclosure is preserved in situ. Some stones were robbed in historic times and the earthwork is partly eroded/removed.
