Gerdrup Langdysse 1 submitted by Tonnox on 20th Apr 2024. Gerdrup Langdysse 1 og 2. Gerdrup long barrow 1 and 2. 2 closely spaced long barrows. The western 13 x 5 m. Kerbstones: 21 many overturned. Disturbed chamber of 4 orthostats. No capstone. The eastern 10 x 5 m. Kerbstones 28 many overturned No chamber. A further number of larger stones are scattered over the 2 long barrows. Difficult to separate the 2 long barrows on photo.

6 orthostats and a large capstone with cupmarks. In recent times, the landowner has set up a stone bench and a stone table of granite beams on the east side of the mound. In 1917 and 1949 it is described as part of a garden, but over time the garden has turned into cultivated fields without, however, going beyond the hill. Reference: Caspar Vang, Svendborg kommune. Centrally in the mound was a burial chamber. The chamber was built from 4 orthostats and 1 capstone. Finds: Skeletal remains, 2 skulls, fragments of ax and 2 small ground flints.
