Artificial long barrow raised by De la Calmette owner of Marienborg in the late 18th Century. The long barrow stones however do indeed orginate from megalithic tombs which were demolished and removed from agricultural land. It was only with the Nature Conservation Act of 1937 that visible remains of ancient monuments were procteced by Law. It is estimated that around 75% of such monument´s are fully or partially lost.
