Hot Springs (North Carolina) submitted by TimPrevett on 19th Apr 2009. The thermal springs originally discovered by the indigenous peoples are still in use today with open air but undercover tubs available to bathe in on a commercial basis. This is right next to the river, with hills all around. It's a great experience, and your pores and skin feel fantastic after an hour in the warm mineral rich water.

He said he'd spied us earlier on some distance away at the Skirtful of Stones and thought "what's on here?" !

Holyhead Mountain submitted by TimPrevett on 14th Apr 2004. At the base of Holyhead Mountain, is this impressive, substantial group of hut circles. In the 1860s in excess of 50 buildings were recorded, but now numbers around 20.
Active settlement was on this location for sometime, and not all the remains seen are contemporary with each other.
Finds at this location, and very nearby, date occupation from mesolithic to Romano British times.
