Martin's Down Round Barrows submitted by TimPrevett on 27th Apr 2005. The two barrows looking down from the footpath leading to the Bank Barrow. Gives a sense of their size - even though they have been robbed out.

Martin's Down Bell Barrows
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Round Barrow(s)
Country: England (Dorset)
Visited: Yes on 23rd May 2005
Martin's Down Bell Barrows submitted by TimPrevett on 23rd May 2005. One of the bell barrows viewed across the barley, from the gate into the next field.
I just couldn't help thinking of the Fields of Elyssium in Gladiator here. It was blissful. Only sounds were the birds, and the 'white noise' of the wind through the swaying heads of barley. Blissful.

Maengwyngweddew
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Yes on 15th Aug 2005

Maengwyngweddew submitted by TimPrevett on 15th Aug 2005. Have you ever tried looking for a squat white standing stone, about 85cm tall, with uncertain directions, and a mountainside of sheep? Not easy. This took me two attempts. An aborted attempt on my birthday left me disappointed and frustrated, wishing I'd purchased the 1:25000, and not the 1:50000. Sob sob.
Thankfully, my family had pity upon me, and I returned a couple days later with new attitude and closer studying of the 1:50000 and guide book. This fresh approach helped me find this quartz...

Maen Pebyll
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Long Barrow
Country: Wales (Conwy)
Visited: Yes on 4th Oct 2004
Maen Pebyll submitted by TimPrevett on 4th Oct 2004. The collapsed remains of Maen Pebyll - possibly a long barrow, but these stones do resemble a collapsed dolmen; compare to Presaddfed on Anglesey.
The weather was vile on this visit, and for 5:50pm at the start of October, the light quality was dire. The driving rain was beginning to affect the camera, so using flash needed - thus giving the white blobs and streaks seen on the picture.

Maen Hir (Conwy) submitted by TimPrevett on 30th Jul 2004. A distant shot of Maen Hir; admittedly not the quality I like to submit - but it was the best, and arguably one poor picture is better than none.

Maen Ffordd Rufeinig
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Conwy)
Visited: Yes on 22nd Aug 2004
Maen Ffordd Rufeinig submitted by TimPrevett on 22nd Aug 2004. A possible standing stone south of the road at SH694723, not far from the Roman Road, hence its name.
There are many boulders around the area, but this longer stone has been erected, and due to erosion on the far side, subsided.
A search of both CARN and Coflein databases reveals nothing further.

Maen Addwyn
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Anglesey)
Visited: Yes on 9th Apr 2004
Maen Addwyn submitted by TimPrevett on 9th Apr 2004. This impressive sized menhir sits in the field boundary adjacent a road, opposite a school, which out of school hours makes handy parking for viewing the stone.
Mynydd Bodafon is visible to the north west, otherwise flat fields are visible in all directions.
The stone is being encroached upon by the spread of ivy. My last visit (actually 15th June 1999) showed relatively little ivy on the stone; by April 2004 the growth was much more significant.
