Dead Man's Cave/Anston Stones Wood submitted by trust5629 on 11th Mar 2008. The entrance to Dead Man's cave the most well known rock shelter in the Anston Gorge. (Note that this area has many un-excavated fissures and rock shelters which give the area its own special interest and atmosphere.)

Log Text: Visited with 2 young children. Found easily following the directions given on this site and also enjoyed playing in the beck and back at the playground by the Parish Hall afterwards. The children were inspired by visiting the site and enjoyed reading from Horrible Histories Savage Stoneage afterwards.
