Oak Farm Bowl Barrow
Date Added: 25th Jun 2012
Site Type: Round Barrow(s)
Country: England (Shropshire)
Visited: Yes on 14th Mar 2007

Oak Farm Bowl Barrow submitted by TheWhiteRider on 14th Mar 2007. The remains of this ploughed out barrow appear as little more than a slight mound, but its size appears accentuated because it is on high ground and the road is quite sunken. Taken from the Bicton Road.

Old Radnor Church
Date Added: 25th Jun 2012
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Yes on 4th Jul 2005
Old Radnor Church submitted by TheWhiteRider on 4th Jul 2005. The Old Radnor Church Standing Stone. An unusual monument, this stone has had a gravestone carved into it with a date from 1931. Its antiquity must be questioned, but it would not be the first example of a Christian site springing up around a megalith.

Date Added: 25th Jun 2012
Site Type: Hillfort
Country: England (Gloucestershire)
Visited: Yes on 21st Jun 2010. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 3 Access 4
Old Sodbury submitted by Thorgrim on 18th Oct 2003. The internal banks and ditches are rectangular with rounded corners, very like the layout of Roman forts. This suggests that a Roman fort has been added to an earlier one.

Ratlinghope Hill Camp submitted by TheWhiteRider on 29th May 2006. Looking up towards the location of Ratlinghope Hill Camp from The Shropshire Way. At the very top just right of centre part of the earthwork can be seen. Unfortunatley missed the footpath that Tim took so didn't get a better view on this visit.

Ridley Common
Date Added: 25th Jun 2012
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: England (Northumberland)
Visited: Yes on 2nd Jul 2006
Ridley Common submitted by TheWhiteRider on 2nd Jul 2006. Ridley Common Stone Circle. Only visible from the other side of a boundary fence. A number of keep out/private property signs made it abundantly clear that taking the easier route up a road to look at the circle was not allowed. Instead I had to scramble through difficult boggy ground along the field boundary until I spotted the circle.
