In 2005 Caroline Wilkinson from Dundee University was commissioned to produce a forensic reconstruction of the skull discovered in 1972. Caroline's work involves taking a plaster cast of the skull and positioning pins on it to indicate the likely depth of flesh at a number of key locations. Dunmallard submitted by nicoladidsbury on 13th Jan 2006. Dunmallard hillfort sit at the end of Ullswater lake, guarding access to it, and to the mountain passes beyond. The people of this hillfort would effectively have control of the lake and the valley. Moor Divock cairns and Cockpit stone circle lie on the moorside to the south.

Dromroe submitted by ladrin on 14th May 2015. I think that public access is possible. Leave the car where the small pictograph of the Beara tourist trail is. Follow the path about 10 min. After the third or fourth ledder (anyway when you get to the large open pasture), leave the trail to the left.

On the hills north of Malham, are remains of several settlements dating from the Bronze Age onwards. This particular site at Ing Scar is thought to be Iron Age, or Romano-British. A number of lines of walling can still be seen, central are the remains of 2 rectangular structures.

Carnasserie Stones submitted by Tom_Bullock on 26th Feb 2005. A Pair of Standing Stones in Argyll. They are lozenge-shaped and taper to heights of 8'7" and 8'10". Aligned NNW-SSE they stand 7'9" apart with the taller stone at the SSE end.
