Log Text: I have been involved in bringing this new monument about, I haven't assessed it for ambiance etc, as it isn't my place to do so.

I did want to comment on access arrangements. The monument is a working space for C21st families to use to remember loved one; it also hosts cultural/charity activities.

There is permissive access to the barrow following the stone track to the north of Soulton Hall (crossing over the B5065 away from the hall). You can park on the second drive way for the hall and walk up. The is no general public right to drive to the barrow, but you can ask for this from Sacred Stones or Soulton Hall if you have a good reason and have access issues.

There are open days (you can find these on the Soulton Hall and Sacred Stones webpages) -- unless you know someone with an assocaition to the barrow, these official days are the only way to get access inside.
