Garreg Fraith submitted by sem on 24th Jun 2012. Speckled Rock These cairns are clearly visible from the West despite not being on the skyline, as their high quartz content makes them glisten in the sunlight.

Garreg Lwyd Marker Stone

Garreg Lwyd Marker Stone submitted by sem on 19th Aug 2010. This erratic appears to have been raised on smaller boulders and it's long axis aligned with Garreg Lwyd and Carn Pen-y-Clogau. A good example of a "secret sign".

Godre'r Garn Las Stone

Godre'r Garn Las Stone submitted by sem on 12th Mar 2005. This site is plainly visible on the horizon from the Nant Tarw circles despite the stone being recumbent. I believe it forms part of a processional way to Fan Brycheiniog in the background.

Gournia

Gournia submitted by sem on 9th Dec 2008. Mooring Post I found this placed on top of a pillar in the central courtyard. Judging by the way it has been eroded, I assume it was used to moor boats with and as there is no modern settlement nearby, I assume it is Minoan.

Graig Fawr submitted by sem on 17th Jul 2015. It has now been determined that the site has two tombs side by side, though the jumble of stone makes interpreting the layout very difficult.

Gray Hill Cairn Cemetery

Gray Hill Cairn Cemetery submitted by sem on 6th May 2013. Gray Hill Cemetary There are meant to be 9 barrows here. We found plenty of lumps and bumps plus the odd stone that seemed to have been placed with a purpose. But even using a GPS, we could not be sure if we had found anything.

King Arthur's Cave

Date Added: 11th Jun 2012
Site Type: Cave or Rock Shelter Country: England (Herefordshire)
Visited: Yes on 23rd Aug 2006

King Arthur's Cave

King Arthur's Cave submitted by sem on 23rd Aug 2006. This cave was inhabited from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age, a period of over 50,000 years. Finds here include bone, flint and "imported" pebbles. Caves nearby have also yielded Beaker and Roman pottery, but as this cave was also used to extract iron in the 18th and 19th centuries much archaeological evidence has been destroyed.
