Log Text: On private land. They really don't like it if you go there without permission. I went with the local archaeologist from Worthing Museum, James Sainsbury, and Dr James Dilley and James revealed a surviving knapping floor.

Log Text: Sutton Hoo is famous for its Saxon Royal Ship Burial. Now in the ownership of the National Trust, it is beautifully presented, with an excellent onsite museum/exhibition.
In 2024, new excavations have begun in areas not previously investigated, some of them with the aid of Time Team and their volunteer supporters. An extensive series of test pits were opened near the River Deben, revealing much prehistoric material, mostly worked flint, possibly Neolithic in date. Research analysis will be published at a later date.
