Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Wales (Powys)
Visited: Would like to visit

Maen Llia submitted by Andy B on 28th Jun 2013. Brecon Beacons National Park Authority is seeking to highlight the importance of the National Park’s heritage sites after a Bronze Age standing stone was vandalised, as it was previously in 2002.
At some time over the last few weeks Maen Llia standing stone, a Scheduled Ancient Monument situated between Heol Senni and Ystradfellte, has been defaced, with graffiti daubed on the protected stone.

Warrior's Rest

Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: Scotland (Scottish Borders)
Visited: Would like to visit

Warrior's Rest submitted by Anne T on 29th Jun 2015. A close up of the Warrior's Rest east face, but no cup marks that I can see. I wonder if the report of these cups got muddled with the Glebe Stone, just down the road, as I could see two cups on its eastern face.

Drumtroddan Cup and Ring Markings
Date Added: 12th Jul 2013
Site Type: Rock Art
Country: Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway)
Visited: Would like to visit

Drumtroddan Cup and Ring Markings submitted by rockartuk on 20th Aug 2001. On a fenced outcrop, 200m South of the farm (NX 362 447), R.W.B. Morris counted 84 cup-and-rings (1979). This photo was taken in 1993 with the carvings still clear. However, in 2000 the marks turned very faint. Acid rain? The question of preservation (after about 5000 years!) is now actual as well as urgent. How?
