Simonside Cairn 1 submitted by Modern-Neolithic on 12th Apr 2013. A massive cairn of stones stands on the middle peak (1401 feet above sea level) of Simonside Beacon. This cairn was struck by lightning and is much shattered.

St. Gregory's The Great (Kirknewton) submitted by Anne T on 28th Aug 2017. The unusual Adoration of the Magi, with the Magi in what looks like kilts, but which are probably Roman tunics. Historic England says this dates from the 12th century, but the church thinks it might be several centuries earlier, pre-dating the church.

The Galloway Stone submitted by Anne T on 3rd Apr 2017. This natural erratic of pink Shap granite sits almost underneath the north bound carriageway of the M6. Not a great location, but worth stopping to have a look at.
