The Calderstones submitted by dodomad on 21st Apr 2015. Calderstones School pupil Connor Hannaway has made history by discovering a unique bird-shaped carving on the Neolithic monuments housed in the park, which can only be seen in certain lights and has so far escaped the notice of archaeologists and historians for hundreds of years.

Park Gate is a relatively well-preserved embanked stone circle located on a boggy plateau on the moorland above Beeley, at the northern end of a cairnfield. The two ringcairns of Beeley Moor North (GR: SK277687) and Beeley Warren North East (GR: SK279688) are located close by to the north-west.

Bidston Hill Rock Carvings submitted by dodomad on 13th Mar 2014. Having cleaned it up we celebrated with a good cheer of our discovery. It was indeed the Moon Goddess which has been in an unknown location for many years. This was a great moment for Hidden Wirral Myths & Legends as we had found something that has evaded many before us who had been in search of the carving.
She has a body with a moon situated beneath her and is holding what looks like a key in her hand. and this was the final result.
