Crane Castle submitted by LiveAndrew on 16th Mar 2021. The view from Crane Castle promontory fort, towards Portreath
(View photo, vote or add a comment)
Log Text: A battered promontory fort with a very visible ditch and bank and beautiful views. One of my favourite places to stop and sit when walking my dog.
Access from the car-parks (Basset Cove or North Cliffs) is very good now that they have paved the it (suitable for prams and wheelchairs) but the path down to the fort is still narrow and prickly (NOT suitable for prams and wheelchairs).
