Cott Lane

Site Type: Modern Stone Circle etc
Country: Wales (Pembrokeshire)
Visited: Yes on 27th Apr 2025. My rating: Ambience 2 Access 5

Cott Lane submitted by Theshish on 4th Aug 2022. We found two of these hidden in the undergrowth in Pembrokeshire. A folly? A standing stone is also over the fence in a farmers field.

Log Text: The two structures are relatively easy to find thanks to the GPS location. However, at the time of my visit, they were almost completely overgrown with vegetation and brambles. If a local association exists, it would be worth cleaning up!
Menhir de la Chablère

Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: France (Pays de la Loire:Mayenne (53))

Menhir de la Chablère submitted by TheCaptain on 9th May 2005. Les Bellobières menhir, Oisseau, Mayenne.
I couldnt be quite sure what there is here, although a menhir is marked on my ign map.
Perhaps I completely missed it, maybe there is a ruinous allée couverte here, or perhaps the menhir has had a field clearance cairn made around it.

Log Text: I found the menhir (see photo). From the D138, turn right onto the track leading to "La Chablère". Approximately 100 metres before the houses, a small path leads off to the left into the forest. Take this on foot. About 30 metres further along this path, a sign indicates "Menhir" on the right. The standing stone is a few metres further on in the copse.
