Penmon Priory and Church submitted by TimPrevett on 19th Feb 2005. One of the two Crosses inside Penmon Church. This is in the nave, and taken in very poorly lit conditions; I did not have my tripod with me, so this was one of a number attempts at getting a decent picture! See main entry for more details.

Hendrefor submitted by TimPrevett on 3rd Jul 2002. Ucheldref Burial Chamber SH551773 Visited Thursday 28th September 2000 SE Pentraeth, off B5109 Pentraeth to Beaumaris road. Two huge piles of stones in a field, basically! Another example of the decay of ancient monuments sad, but one supposes inevitable in many cases. The waves and contours in the rocks on these two are quite interesting to look at.

These three stones were in a quagmire of a field when I visited shortly after several days of unusually heavy rain (even for Anglesey 2 inches in 24 hours!). Din Lligwy

Din Lligwy submitted by TimPrevett on 3rd Jul 2002. Lligwy Ancient Settlement SH497861 This settlement, NW from Moelfre and not far from the Lligwy burial chamber is huge! A short walk from parking space for maybe 3 cars, through woodland, this location can occupy a considerable amount of time exploring the nooks & crannies of this probable 4th century AD settlement.

Lligwy Burial Chamber

Lligwy Burial Chamber submitted by Jimwithnoname on 8th Sep 2011. Amazing dolmen and very unnerving sat underneath the 25 ton capstone. It's perched on very little it seems on the one side. The warden approached us as we sat eating at the site. He asked if we were thinking of stopping the night, which we were, but as he said. that's a no no. We respected him and moved on after our picnic. He was quite pleasant and only doing his job. Many people wild camp as he said, and set fire to crops or drive through hedges!
