Son Serra de Marina submitted by TimPrevett on 23rd Apr 2011. This talaiotic habitation sits right next to the road, and is one we thought we would have had to miss. The remains consist of a square structur...

St. Brigid's Holy Well submitted by enkidu41 on 24th May 2004. St. Brigid's Holy Well, Liscannor. R 044900
The Burren in Co. Clare has scores of holy wells not all of which have stood the test of time. Some are cased in concrete with modern plastic pipes extruding from the casing whilst others have disappeared under the vegetation. This well is probably the most important exception and is stated as being "one of the three most strongly lasting survivals of Lughnasa". This is a shot down the curved passage to the well proper at the end.
