St Cadwaladr (Llangadwaladr) submitted by TimPrevett on 23rd Sep 2007. The most important burial inscription on Anglesey. referring to St Cadfan, a King of Gwynedd who died around 625 AD. The style is indicative of wide contacts, as far as the western mediterranean. The stone is set in the wall in front of you as you enter the building, and reads: CATAMANUS REX SAPIENTIS MUS OPINATISM US OMNIUM REG UM - King Catamanus wisest most renowned of all kings.
