Finlaggan submitted by Andy B on 13th Jun 2011. Finlaggan Standing Stone
A solitary Standing Stone , naturally predating the Lordship of the Isles. As ever various theories surround the placing and use of the stone. However in 1994 Geophysic surveys by the "Time Team" suggest that there may have originally been a line of stones marking the way to Jura.

High Bridestones (Yorks) submitted by JimChampion on 7th Dec 2007. August 2007. The High Bridestones, on the moor. Just one of the megaliths is still standing, with small change firmly wedged into its many crevices. A megalithic shambles indeed. The heather in bloom says that it is summer, although the temperature (and wind) on this day was more like winter!

I searched for this circle for some time in a large area strewn with stones. I believe these two stones and the two in the distance form part of the circle but I am open to correction.
