Wallburg Bruchhauser Steine submitted by Harald_Platta on 4th Mar 2017. The Wallburg Bruchhauser Steine is a hillfort in Olsberg (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). The hillfort dates from the late Pre-Roman Iron Age and was used from ca. 600 to 300 BC.
The picture shows cut at the rampart where the palisate has been indicated by a timber post. The orginal rampart can be seen running uphill.

Rimbeck submitted by Martin_L on 25th Jul 2012. Chamber with lateral port-hole ("Seelenloch", Türloch, "Soul-hole") entrance. It is more than halfways filled with earth. The capstones are robbed. Remains of at least 150 indiviuals were found inside it (Götze et al. 1906/07). The building material was moved here for at least 3,5km.
