Neolithic settlemt of the Rössen culture in Bochum-Kirchharpen.
The site map depicts the positions of the post-holes of the Rössen long house. In addition, several pits (fireplaces, storage pits) are shown. At the north-east end of the house wall, a region with many desiccation cracks in the ground indicates an intensively used part of the site.

Grave No. 9 contained the bones of a man (ca. 30-40 years old) and grave goods from the early 7th century.

Batimodus Stein submitted by Harald_Platta on 4th May 2015. The Stone of Batimodus was made around 400 AC and initially was the gravestone of Batimodus, a member of the romanized Germanic tribe of the Bataver.
It contains three times the christogram Chi Rho in the crux monogrammatica style. The christogram in the middle contains the Greek alpha and omega as a symbol for Christ.
