Natrop Barrow Cemetery and giant Keyhole-Grave VII submitted by Harald_Platta on 10th May 2015. The image depicts the site map of the Keyhole-Grave VII of the cemetery Natrop in Datteln (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). This Bronze Age grave measured 72 m in length and was 27 m broad. It was surrounded by three trenches. The central burial pit measured 2.80 x 1.10 m and contained traces of a wooden coffin an cremated human remains. It has been speculated that this grave is the archetype of the keyhole-shaped graves.

The front side most likely shows a Germanic warrior. His left hand is lying on the Franconian short sword, while he holds a comb in his right hand. He wears a long-sleeved pant-like garment. Near his his right leg a canteen is

Batimodus Stein submitted by Harald_Platta on 4th May 2015. The Stone of Batimodus was made around 400 AC and initially was the gravestone of Batimodus, a member of the romanized Germanic tribe of the Bataver.
It contains three times the christogram Chi Rho in the crux monogrammatica style. The christogram in the middle contains the Greek alpha and omega as a symbol for Christ.

Syburg Cross-Stone submitted by Harald_Platta on 2nd May 2015. The cross-stone of Syburg can regularly be seen at the church St. Peter zu Syburg in Dortmund (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). This photo was taken of the original stone, which was part of the temporary special exhibition "Werdendes Ruhrgebiet" in the Ruhr Museum Essen in 2015.
The stone displays a sun cross, which resembles the pagan symbol for the sun disc. The double line at the right side stems from the same time.
The other cross is an old saltire ("old missionary cross").

Das Projekt steht im Zusammenhang mit dem Ausgrabungsprojekt Schnippenburg. Auf dem 3000 qm großen Areal wird das Leben der Menschen etwa 300 v. Chr. anschaulich vermittelt.
