Abu Simbel Temple of Ramses II submitted by h_fenton on 20th Jan 2008. A small carved panel in the interior of Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. Flash photography is not allowed in here (I seem to remember that tripods are not allowed either). Very yellow lights are used inside the temple and I have reduced the yellowness in photoshop.
This is the sharpest photo I have of the interior of this temple, other shots are either out of focus and/or have camera shake.
Camera: Canon Powershot G2, lens 35mm (35mm equiv). Exposure 1/3sec @ f2, ISO not recorded on...

Arsameia submitted by h_fenton on 16th Jan 2011. The largest Greek inscription in Anatolia, at Arsameia, the inscription covers the flat area of rock above the tunnel/shaft entrance.
The shaft/tunnel descends 158metres at an angle into the hillside.

Ascott under Wychwood submitted by h_fenton on 5th May 2009. As of 2007/8 the stones from Ascott-Under-Wychwood long barrow have been removed from the Museums Resource Centre (Standlake, Oxfordshire).
The stones have been set up in the Pound in the village of Ascott-Under-Wychwood between the Swan (pub) and the Church. to represent how they were in the barrow, there is also an information board about the site.
