This Original Artwork in a glass frame is £39.99 + Postage (Just whatever it costs), and is 17 cm x 11 and a half cm. This renowned high cross, made from sandstone, stands at 18 feet tall and dates from 900 CE. It commemorates abbot Muiredach who died in 923 CE, and is richly sculptured with biblical scenes.

It has scenes from the life of Christ and other biblical episodes. Also, a panel shows St Ciaran founding the first section of his monastery - which is represented by a tree.

The small on-site museum at the Parque Cultural is definitely worth a visit to better understand the various designs used.
