The enigmatic Gallarus Oratory on the Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The date of it's construction is a matter for debate: some scholars put it around 600AD and others as late as 1200AD. Not pre-historic, but interesting.

In this case, the reforested eucaliptus shiled the site from the populated surroundings. Note to the editor: This picture should be linked with the 'Axeitos' Dolmen in Spain.
