Log Text: On this September visit the stone was in the middle of knee high bracken, making it less visible from the road. Still possible to access via (unlocked) field gate from the road, but "path" indistinct so necessary to force a way through the bracken.

Log Text: Heading west along the B8073 from Kilninian church, the road runs downhill for about ¼ mile where, just before a bridge over the Aalt Hostarie, there is a field gate on the left. Go through (be sure to close it as livestock are usually in the field) and follow the grassy track for about 50 yards where the cairn will be on your immediate right.
After exploring the cairn, you can continue down to the stoney shore to beachcomb and admire the view; the isles of Ulva & Gometra opposite, east up Loch Tuath towards Ulva Ferry & Ben More, and west out to sea & the Treshnish Islands.
