Toms Hill submitted by TheCaptain on 15th Jun 2017. This stone setting in the wilds of Exmoor is a 6 stone rectangle, or two rows of three stones arranged like the dots on a domino.

Stoney Littleton submitted by TheCaptain on 18th Mar 2005. Stoney Littleton barrow viewed from the west.
Its a cracking little barrow, with the most wonderful passage and chambers inside, and the powers that be have even left a decent sized area around it free of any farming activity. A lovely sunny day, but some of the walk to the barrow was horrendously muddy.
The fields around the barrow had recently been ploughed, a crop of beet of some sort having been the last grown. While walking back after my visit, I found a bit of the lovely golden colou...

Log Text: The stone is about ¾ mile walk from the A489. Take the left turn signed Pottie about 4 miles west of Bunessan and immediately on your left is an area of rough ground with stored equipment where you should be able to park safely out of people's way. Follow the tarmac road uphill through a gate, which turns into a very well defined track. The stone is in a field to your right when a dwelling appears on a hill ahead of you.
Tobar Chaluim Chille (Mull)
Date Added: 4th Apr 2023
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: Scotland (Isle of Mull)
Visited: Yes on 3rd Apr 2023. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 5 Access 2
Tobar Chaluim Chille (Mull) submitted by KiwiBetsy on 6th Oct 2006. Tobar Chaluim Chille today is marked only by a pair of distinguished lichen clad stones but the landowner speaks of a stick holding a cup in recent history. The water is apparently still used in St Kilda’s Church, Lochbuie for christenings and it may be the unidentified well near Loch Buie whose medicinal properties were mentioned in a 17th century account of the area.

Log Text: Thanks to the instructions from KiwiBetsy the spring was easy to find, although quite a good hike. Not very impressive in itself, but a great location. A local resident has confirmed that water from the spring has been used for baptisms at St Kildas church in Lochbuie

Log Text: No convenient parking by Auchnacraig where track to the site leaves the road, but if you go 1.2 km further down the road towards Grass Point there is a small parking area marked Grasspoint Viewpoint. As an alternative to walking back up the road and taking the track to Port Donain, you can climb up to the viewpoint and then follow the coast south The way is not always obvious but keep away from the crags. Pass through a deer fence (kissing gate, not ladder stile) into pasture (highland cattle grazing when I visited) and then through another deer fence onto rougher ground. Sometimes a path is obvious, some times not, and you need to avoid the boggy ground. Descend towards Port Donain, eventually picking up the track from Auchnacraig. On a good day it is worth descending to the beach once you have inspected the cairns.

Taoslin submitted by Energyman on 21st Nov 2016. Sorry - yet another sunset just after the equinox, but in my defence, I think this is a clearer picture.... It also shows not much in the way of horizon notches etc, so strengthening my theory (hopefully) that the important thing is the shadow behind you, not the orb.
