Log Text: Apparently this is part of a stone circle, according to some "dowsers", despite there being absolutely no evidence of a circle Apart from "the" Castlerigg stone circle.
The dowsers may have been better employed getting out a compass.
This stone, set approximately 75m from Castlerigg stone circle, is on an alignment with the centre of the circle of southwest to northeast with the circle to the northeast. It is obviously the stone circles marker stone to indicate the direction on the summer solstice sunrise. This is a common arrangement.
