The spring can no longer be seen as it has long since been channelled under ground through the garden of the house, under the road to emerge in the garden of a house across the road. The spring originally emerged at the base of a cliff immediately behind the house.
Now named "The Old Vicarage", the house was originally named "Ffynnon Catwg"

Penrhys was one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Britain until its destruction
