Ffynnon Llewellyn - Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Powys The site of the death of Prince Llewellyn The Great, the last native-born Prince of Wales. The well is reputedly the place in which the severed head of the murdered prince was washed before being taken to King Edward the First in London. The inscription in English and Welsh "Legend has it that this is the well in which the head of Llewellyn ap Gruffydd was washed"

Banc Ystrdd-Wen submitted by geoffstickland on 5th Dec 2019. A hollow, circular cairn set high on Trembyd. The exact location by GPS is SN98226151. Access entails a vigorous climb and affords extensive views. Within 100 meters is another cairn which for convenience I have named Banc Ystrdd Wen 2 but which may have its own distinctive name. This is at SN979614. This cairn is an eliptical loose pile of large stones about2 meters high by 8 metres long.
