St Lythans submitted by Mark_in_Wales on 22nd Jun 2022. Photo Competition 2022 WINNING ENTRY. This light beam was photographed at 21:14 BST on the 20th of June 2022. Site Type: Modern Stone Circle etc
Country: Wales (South Glamorgan)

Carreg Siglio submitted by sem on 31st Dec 2005. This site bears a striking resemblence to William Stukely's engraving of Avebury, comprising a circle with two "horns" leading from it.
The rocking stone was used as a pulpit by Dr William Price to preach his own brand of Druidism. He later found fame when charged with heresy for attempting to cremate his son Iesi Grist (Jesus Christ) in a tin of paraffin.

Cold Knap Round Barrow submitted by sem on 15th Mar 2011. The Knap from Friar's Point.
Shown as an island on a 17th century map this was probably the case in the Bronze Age, making it possibly a stopping place for traders and "bluestone transportation".
