Derreenataggart is both easily accessible and a fine example of an axial or recumbent stone circle. It is now incomplete: of an original fifteen or so stones, nine remain erect and three are now prostrate. The stones are graded in height increasing from the stones adjacent to the recumbent, c0.4m in height, up to the stones in the portal area which would have been close to 2.5m in height. Cahermore Standing Stone submitted by Klingon on 8th Apr 2005. From Castletownbearhaven to Cahermore on the R572 this Standing Stone is surrounded by two knolls.
