La Pierre Folle (Montguyon) submitted by TheCaptain on 22nd Feb 2011. This superb monument is signposted to the north of the town of Montguyon, and has its own parking and picnic area. It is a double monument, with an Aquitaine allée-couverte combined with a dolmen.

Bougon Tumulus F submitted by TheCaptain on 5th Sep 2010. The ancient Bougon Tumulus F0, is at the southern end of the tumulus, and is a circular construction containing a circular chamber.
It has been dated to the middle of the 5th millenium BC, and as such is the oldest dated construction of all the Atlantic facing lands.

Abri de Ruth submitted by theCaptain on 6th Jan 2011. Just to the south of the village of Le Moustoir on the west bank of the Vézère is found this collection of caves and a museum of artefacts. Supposedly a very important place from where the stratigraphy of the various ancient eras was determined.
