Only a few low stones remain of this circle which is found on the right of the track to Bryn Cader Fanar near Llyn Eiddew Bach, there are the remains of three small cairns within the circle and a further larger cairn is to be found approximately 50m to the north.

CARREG COETAN ARTHUR TRIPOD DOLMEN NGR: SN06093930 (Landranger map 145/Outdoor Leisure North Pembrokeshire map (No 35)) Located close to the centre of Newport in Pembrokeshire with public access. Although called a tripod dolmen four uprights exist - only two of which support the capstone (which is said to replicate the summit of Carn Ingli to the south). Excavations have revealed cremated bone, Beaker and Grooved ware sherds.

Log Text: Despite its neighbours, the hedges and trees have begun to give this site a bit more of a natural setting compared to how it must have looked when the houses were first built. Impressed with the artist impression of the site on the information board - would like to see more by this artist!

Carn Alw hill fort from the west, hard to see but from about the level of the dip in the crags running to the right is a broad, carefully delimited zone of 'chevaux-de-frise'. Not easy to see in this photo and stupidly I was stood amongst it admiring and commenting on it and I totally forgot to get 'the photo'.
