Impressively situated on the hillside close to St. David's Head, Coetan Arthur is the collapsed chamber of what is presumed to be a passage grave which also has a round barrow. The massive capstone measures approximately 5.9 meters by 2.6 meters and is supported on one side by an orthostat approximately 1.5 meters in height.

The ramparts are obscured by the rock outcrop, which runs parallel to them (left to right) in the middle of this picture. Coetan Arthur is just beyond another rock outcrop, below the horizon to the left and the double dolmen of Carn Llidi is hard to spot on the slopes in the distance. The Lords Seat submitted by twentytrees on 13th Aug 2006. Looking east towards the Edale valley on the left. The position of this barrow is superb, situated at the top of Rushup Edge views views in all directions. Minninglow and Five Wells are visible as well as Tideswell.
