'The relief stern of a warship (triemiolia) served as the base of a bronze portrait statue of Hagesandros son of Mikion, whom the Lindians honoured on the occasion of a naval victory of the Rhodians. The stern of the warship, which preserves traces of red pigment, is rendered in detail, with the aphlaston at the right end and the richly bedecked captain's seat in the form of a bird's wing. Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes submitted by CoppellaiaMatta on 21st May 2025. I loved the 'Vase in the shape of a horse loaded with flasks and krateriskos (12th Century B.C.)'
and of all the mosaics this 'centrepiece with New Comedy Mask of the "leading servant" in the opus vermiculatum technique. From the floor of a house of the Middle Hellenistic period, the splendid craftmanship led to its preservation and reuse in a Roman house'.
