Log Text: A pleasant city walk. Very little remains of the actual Roman walls, as the structure has collapsed and has been rebuilt through the centuries, but it gives a pretty good idea of what the old Noviomagus would have looked like in terms of size, road network, gates and so on.

The underlying helmet found within the grave is of a Coolus type. It would have been hammered into shape from a cast rough-out. The helmet rim is decorated with a hatched and punched frieze. A pair of connectors were riveted to either side for a leather chin strap to secure the helmet in place.
Openwork Crests.

There is a replica of the piraeus lion in historiska museet, stockholm, where the runes are coloured. after i saw that copy, of course i wanted to see the real statue. the runes are graffity from vikings who went to greece (actually, quite many went to greece, at least, that's what swedish rune stones tell us). on this site, a typical viking age serpent with a body of runes can be seen. on the other side, there are some straight lines of runes
