Pen yr Orsedd 2 submitted by guile on 24th May 2010. Pen Yr Orsedd Number 1 or Pen Yr Orsedd Number 2?
Whichever, this is the northern stone of this pairing, looking rather like a cloaked and hooded figure at this angle.

Log Text: A lovely walk to the spot and around it the beautiful coastal views. It wasn’t open when we visited and only after did I find it has open days via https://cadw.gov.wales/open-doors-barclodiad-y-gawres-burial-chamber which looks after it’s magnificence. I took some videos of what I could see. As you get up close to the gate a light comes on which highlights some of the rock art but not greatly. You really need a key from the local shop or an open day.
Still, an amazing piece of history. I’m in awe of every new find!
I found a great app called What3Words and the location for this monument is
///elaborate.hillside.bulldozer
If you copy this into the app it will provide the exact location. Fantastic!

Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: Wales (Anglesey)

Din Lligwy submitted by TimPrevett on 3rd Jul 2002. Lligwy Ancient Settlement SH497861
This settlement, NW from Moelfre and not far from the Lligwy burial chamber is huge! A short walk from parking space for maybe 3 cars, through woodland, this location can occupy a considerable amount of time exploring the nooks & crannies of this probable 4th century AD settlement.

Log Text: A nice walk along a short path up and over a bridge and another small pathway to the site. Quite a busy place but very atmospheric. Really felt different to other sites but very easy access.

Roughting Linn Rock Art submitted by TimPrevett on 25th Apr 2015. BBC Countryfile will have a feature with Roughting Linn on 3rd May 2015 - at least that's what they told us when we stumbled upon them filming there during the Easter Holidays. An emphasis on the sound at Rock Art sites in their feature explains the nice parabolic microphone!

Log Text: We returned to the site and it was quiet. To get to it is easy as you can see the pathway by others. The brackens were quite tall but it was still easy to walk through. The site itself seemed to me to be almost perfect. I’m not a professional but there was no vandalism thankfully. The ambiance here is amazing maybe that’s because not many people visit. It’s definitely a favourite and inspiring place.
