Rökstenen submitted by Meginring on 18th Feb 2007. The four metric tonne Rökstenen is decorated with some 800 runes, carved on all sides and also on the top. It is the longest and most intricate runic inscription known in the world today.

Log Text: Because of the size and the length of the written rune text, it is probably the most impressive rune stone I have seen so far. A really detailed information center is just near the stone by the south of the church.

Log Text: The rock carvings have been well preserved here and with the wonderful landscape in the background as a panorama, the visit is really an experience. However, the route to the carvings is a bit hidden and only signposted for the last few meters. However, a parking lot is available.

Log Text: Beautifully preserved stone cist nestled in the middle of a forest. The path is quite hidden and more of a small path. By car you drive more on bumpy slopes than roads.
