The biggest tomb of the island Fyn.
The beautiful passage grave Mårhøj lies on a natural hill and
therefore looks extra impressive. The 10 m long and about 2 m wide tomb
was excavated in 1868 by the local farm owner Sun.
He found some human bones and an amber bead as the only
remains of Neolithic burials.
In the corridor stood an urn with burnt bones, but it must have been
from the Late Bronze Age or per...

Log Text: Note from me: The completion of a new building is currently planned for the year 2030. The museum may be open to the public for another 1-2 years before the new building begins. So if you don't want to wait, you should plan your visit now or wait for the reopening (which should be more impressive).

From the museum website: "Silver was virtually unknown in Denmark when this large cauldron of nine kilos arrived in the country in around 100 BC. ... it was produced in the southern Balkans by Thracians, who specialised in the manufacture of luxurious silverware."
