Log Text: This cave is phenomenal and worth visiting. Quality of the paeliolithic to Neolithic rock art takes the breath away - from figurative to abstract ( or seemingly abstract) images. Some black lined combs which look like some form of counting.

Tour is 10 e three times a day - ring ahead to book but we only had 10 in February.

its better to experience the images when you get there but have posted postcard pics nonetheless.

King Arthur's Hall

King Arthur's Hall submitted by Bladup on 7th Nov 2024. The site has now been confirmed to be neolithic in age, I myself always believed that to be true because of other sites like it and of the same age in Brittany, Also the stones at the site are big uns, and it's in the neolithic that they most moved big stones, In general (In the UK) as you move though prehistory towards the later bronze age the stones they moved got smaller, here the stones are large (Just like at the very nearby neolithic Stripple Stones Henge), Therefore an educated guess woul...

View of the Kermario Dolmen which is right at the southwest corner of the Kermario Alignements, and right in the corner of the road which skirts the site. This picture was taken in 1987 when people were free to wander amongst the stones as they pleased. The terrible erosion caused by all the visitors is only too obvious.
