St. Cedd's Well (North Ockendon)

St. Cedd's Well (North Ockendon) submitted by DavidCWoods on 20th Apr 2006. The well is obviously cared for, with a housing produced in a “rustic” fashion – apparently using chimney stacks! It is decorated in a mixture of tile collage and primitive styled painting.

Log Text: I first visitied this site many years ago and the photos as displayed here are very accurate of how it was then, but this place has had a major revamp and is now accomodating. (I will supply new photos of it soon)
I do recommend a visit and do suggest you give yourself time to settle into the ambience of a place that once was "visited by Jesus." This site is not recognised for what it actually is, the restoration of this site is to be acknowledged as a restoration it is a shame it was not restored with the intent of historical value. :-(
