I was searching with very imprecise GPS coordinates and at every stone that I find in the vicinity of the coordinates, the tension rises whether it is the one I´m looking for.

Log Text: Just found out yesterday that this stone existed and of course visited it today. It is also nice that it is located in the area of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which is original part of the historic landscape Uckermark. So another cup-stone in my beloved home region.

Log Text: A beautiful little cup-marked stone, but with coordinates that were more than 60 m away, the small stone was not so easy to find. but it was worth at looking for. The way to the forest when you come from the direction of Wetzenow is not particularly good to drive on and from the forest entrance it is forbidden anyway, it is better to walk the last 890 m from the crossroads (53.465280, 14.093264).

Log Text: For years I have wanted to visit this stone, but apart from the entry in the monument list, there was no information on the exact location of the stone. Only that he should be somewhere in Marienwerder. Even the woman from the monument protection authority (Untere Denkmalschutzbehörde) of the district of Barnim could not tell me exactly where the stone is. Must be by the church she said. A call to someone from the church yielded nothing. She didn't know about a stone with cup marks by the church. I was surprised to find this stone with such clear cup marks there. Someone from the church was there too and was surprised at what we were looking at on the stone. It is always strange that even local residents have no idea what else there is to discover next to the church. Interest in such prehistoric things is just as good as non-existent among the locals here.
